Life is happening to you … or Life is happening for you.

We get to decide either one

For years, I lived as if life was something that happened to me—a relentless stream of events, obligations, and unexpected twists. I thought that my part was to deal with what was getting pushed towards me. But as I progressed on my quest for mastery and self discovery. I began seeing how I had a part in my own life. I moved from side character energy into main character energy. This shift in mindset began with one simple decision: to establish a daily routine that aligned with who I wanted to become. My identity, my value system and who i wanted to be.

1. Aligning Routine with Identity

Our routines are more than just the things we do each day; they’re an expression of our values and our identity. For years, I struggled to find balance and purpose, but once I began to align my daily actions with my deepest intentions, everything changed.

If we want to transform our lives, our habits need to reflect the person we aspire to be. For me, that meant building routines that nourished my body, mind, spirit, relationships, and creativity. It wasn’t about being perfect but about creating consistent, meaningful practices that would move me toward the vision I had for myself.

2. My Daily Habits

These are the daily habits that have transformed my life:

  • 5 AM Pray: Every morning, I begin my day with prayer. It's not just a ritual; it’s a way of grounding myself, expressing gratitude, and aligning my spirit with my purpose. It helps me approach the day with clarity and a sense of peace. This habit is my anchor—connecting me to a higher power and reminding me that there’s more to life than what meets the eye.

  • Journal: After prayer, I journal for a few minutes. This practice allows me to clear my mind, reflect on my intentions, and set the tone for the day. It’s also an opportunity to track my progress and keep myself accountable. Journaling is more than just writing thoughts; it’s a conversation with my future self, a way of documenting growth and gaining clarity.

  • Deep Work: The next part of my morning is dedicated to deep, focused work. This is where I tackle my most challenging tasks without distractions. By setting aside time for uninterrupted focus, I’m able to produce high-quality work, and it’s during this time that I feel the most aligned with my purpose. This is also where I tap into one of my life hacks for making money: using my most productive hours for high-leverage tasks.

  • Workout: Physical fitness is non-negotiable. I train not just for a fit body, but for a resilient mind. It’s the hack I live by to keep myself in shape—both physically and mentally. Pushing myself physically has a ripple effect on my discipline, energy levels, and mental clarity.

  • Creative Reading or Learning Something New: To keep my creativity alive, I dedicate time each day to reading or learning something new. It could be diving into a new book, exploring a course, or simply watching a documentary. This habit keeps my mind sharp, curious, and open to new possibilities.

3. Life Hacks I Live By

  • One to Evolve Your Mindset: Every day, I challenge my mindset by reflecting on my goals and learning something new. This helps me break out of mental ruts and expand my vision. Journaling and creative reading are tools that keep me evolving mentally, helping me stay open to new ideas and resilient in the face of challenges.

  • One to Keep You in Shape: Physical health is the foundation of everything else. When my body is strong, my mind is strong. I don’t work out just to look good—it’s a way of training myself to embrace discomfort, which translates into resilience in other areas of life.

  • One to Make You Money: Focused, deep work is my secret to generating income. By dedicating my most productive hours to revenue-generating activities, I’ve been able to build financial stability and freedom. The key is consistency—showing up every day and doing the hard work when it matters most.

  • One to Build Relationships: Prayer isn’t just about connecting with a higher power; it’s also a way of deepening my relationship with myself and others. When I’m grounded spiritually, I’m more present and intentional in my relationships. Additionally, taking time to check in with loved ones, even for a few minutes, strengthens my connections.

  • One to Keep You Creative: We often lose our creative spark in the hustle of daily life. That’s why I carve out time for creative learning. By staying curious and challenging myself to explore new subjects, I keep my mind flexible and imaginative. This fuels my ability to innovate in both personal and professional projects.
